Summit House Restaurant

Washington’s highest elevation restaurant, perched at 6,872 feet, serves International-Northwest cuisine in an elegant alpine setting with an unbelievable view that is both unique and breathtaking.

Travel almost 2,500 feet over alpine terrain and arrive at the Summit House in less than 10 minutes with the new Mt. Rainier Gondola. Foot-passengers are welcome during the winter too!

About The Summit House

At 6,872 feet, this mountain-top restaurant is more than just a place to grab a bite – it’s an experience. On a clear day, take in views of the Northwest’s most famous volcanic peaks. The lower level houses ski patrol and public restrooms. The upper level restaurant seats approximately 100 people.

Winter Summit House Hours

Lunch Daily 11:00 am – 3:00 pm (last seating at 2:45 pm).
Walk-ins are welcome but based on availability. Reservations are strongly recommended, inquire in person at the Summit House or make reservation above through Open Table anytime from 11:00 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. Quick & delicious lunch items are also available to-go. The Summit House Express Window is closed.

Apres (French for “After Ski”) every Saturday from 3:00 pm- 5:00 pm
Every Saturday and on select holidays: December 26-30, 2011 and January 15 & February 19, 2012.
Stay up on the mountain after your day on the slopes or catch a gondola ride up by 4:30pm. Small drink and food menu available for items at $5 each. Apres-ski space is available on a first-come/first-serve basis (reservations not accepted for Apres-ski). All guests must download by 5:15pm unless you have a Summit House dinner reservation. Summit Dinners every Saturday from 5 pm- close.
Every Saturday and select holidays too: December 26-30, 2011 and January 15 & February 19, 2012.
Summit Dinners require a scenic gondola ticket or lift+ gondola ticket from that day for access to the restaurant. There will be a selection of appetizers, soups and salads, entrees, desserts and drinks to choose from on the dinner menu. Email the Summit House for a current dinner menu. Make a reservation above through Open Table as early as 5:00 p.m. any Saturday and on select holidays.

Sunrise Breakfast every Saturday through March 31st and Sunday through February 26th from 7:30 am-8:30 am
Join us for a hot gourmet breakfast buffet in the Summit House and first tracks in Green Valley. Load gondola 7:15- 7:30 am. Ticket window open from 6:45- 7:15 am for gondola access. Sunrise Breakfast and Summit Dinner Cancellation Policy:

Please cancel online or call 360-663-3085 in advance to cancel or reschedule your reservation. No-shows are non-refundable. Your credit card will be charged $29 per person if your party does not show. Calling the Summit House and leaving a message is not a valid means of cancelling a reservation. There are extra considerations that go into offering services at Washington’s highest elevation restaurant and we appreciate your understanding.
