KEEN Rippin’ Chix Steep Skiing Camp

Crystal Mountain & Alison Gannett’s Rippin’ Chix have teamed up to offer KEEN Rippin’ Chix Steep Skiing Camp at the infamous steep and deep Cascade Mountains of Washington State. This 2-day camp includes two full days of instruction and video analysis, with Alison’s famous baby step steep skiing progression and lessons from freeskiing champions for roots, rocks, trees, moguls, crud and powder.

Win huge prizes at her sustainability trivia contest during Saturday’s happy hour from 4-6pm, guests welcome. Brush up on the green efforts by Alison and her sponsors, including KEEN, Patagonia, NEMO, Elemental Herbs, Pistil Hats, and Osprey.

The instruction will focus on steep skiing with several group levels, from a first time introduction to moguls, trees and powder, to upper groups learning how to safely jump rocks. Participants must be able to make 10 consecutive turns on a black diamond run and are welcome to join with either alpine or telemark gear, fat skis a must.

Women’s Ski Camps (ages 18+)

Includes light breakfast, lunch, and an Aprés gathering with snacks and video analysis.

Join former US Ski Team member and owner of Sturtevant’s Sports Tracy McEwan Gibbons as she and other top women coaches work to improve your skills and increase your confidence. The course will include coaching, women’s specific gear demos and video analysis in the afternoon. Advanced skiers are recommended. You must be able to ski an easy black diamond run.

Check-in between 7:45 and 8:30am at the Snow Sports School
Breakfast is offered in the Bullwheel from 8 to 8:30am
