Crystal Mountain earns an ‘A’ from the Ski Area Citizens’ Coalition

Crystal Mountain has earned an ‘A’ on the Ski Area Environmental Scorecard, which is 10 points more than last year’s ‘B’ score! Overall, Crystal received the 2nd highest score for resorts in Washington and Oregon.

The scorecard exists to encourage skiers and boarders to choose environmentally friendly resorts.

Anna Olsen, from Sierra Nevada Alliance, expressed the importance of choosing ‘A’ resorts: “With Presidents’ Day one of the busiest ski weekends of the season, we hope people will visit the Ski Area Scorecard website and vote with their skis, choosing an “A” from this year’s list.”

Crystal was evaluated on these 4 categories:
1.Habitat Protection
2.Protecting Watersheds
3.Addressing Global Climate Change
4.Environmental Practices and Policies
