When it comes to playing in the snow, hiking to alpine lakes, or just taking in the view from the Summit House Restaurant we believe the more the merrier! Get the whole group together and you’re sure to enjoy a unique experience whether you share it with office colleagues or use it to inspire a fun winter family reunion. We are pleased to offer a discount on lift tickets, lessons, and rental equipment to groups of 20 or more. For every 20 tickets purchased, you’ll receive one additional complimentary lift ticket. We also offer special incentives if you bring up a group multiple times in one season.

    • Winter Group Tickets (20+ Guests)
      Winter group tickets are only offered Monday - Friday for groups of 20 or more. Weekend group discounts begin in March.
      In order to make your trip run smoothly, we need to receive your group order at least 7 - 10 days in advance.
      How many lift tickets are needed for adult, youth, child, and seniors
      The number of rental equipment needed
      The skill level of those taking lessons, ski lesson vs snowboard lesson and morning (10 AM - 12 PM) vs. afternoon (1 PM - 3 PM)
      Food and beverage needs (50% deposit required in advance)

      A $50 non-refundable deposit will be charged to confirm your group reservation.

      Important Details:
      If your group only requires lift tickets advanced notice of 3 days is all that is required. If you want tickets to be shipped we require 7 - 10 days notice and there is a $7.50 shipping charge. Otherwise the group order can be pick up at Guest Services office. Unused tickets must be returned to Guest Services by 11:30 AM in order to be removed from your account balance.
      Group Rentals & Lessons
      We can accommodate groups of 20+ guests with rentals or lessons we simply need to know 7-10 days in advance. Groups receive a $5 discount on full price rental equipmentincluding skis, snowboards, snowshoes and more.

      Group Dining
      Dining is only offered Monday - Friday and limited to buffet, food cards, or Summit House reservation. We can accommodate 20-50 people buffet style in our base lodge and up to 30 people at a time at the Summit House Restaurant. Food cards can be issued in any denomination and used at any of the on-mountain food establishments. We can issue food cards to groups of any size.

      Q: When our group arrives at Crystal, where should we pick up our tickets?
      A: Upon arrival, your group leader will check-in to Guest Services. At this time, tickets will be issued to your group leader for distribution to the members of the group and then be guided to their next destination.

      Q: Do we have to pay for our visit before we arrive?
      A: Payment will be collected on the day of your event and based on the actual number of tickets, rentals and lessons used. A 50% advance payment is required for catering services. We accept the following forms of payment: Cash, Check or Credit Card. We are unable to accept individual payments. A credit card number must be provided to confirm your group ticket order in advance with a $50 deposit.

      Q: How far in advance should we make reservations?
      We require at least 3 days notice to process a group ticket order or 5 business days to ship tickets directly to you in advance ($7.50 shipping will apply). Rental Equipment and Lessons require 7 or more days’ notice and are based on availability. Catering and private room rentals must be confirmed a minimum of 7-10 days in advance, along with a minimum 50% deposit.

      Q: Do we need to do anything to reserve rental equipment?
      A: There is no minimum on equipment rentals as long as a minimum of 20 lift tickets are purchased. A total number of rentals for your group is required a minimum of 5 days prior to your visit. Each person renting equipment through the Group Sales program will need to fill out a rental form and release of liability in the rental shop after a group lift ticket has been issued. The rental attendant will tally and confirm a total count on rentals for processing on the day of your trip.

      Q: We need a bus to and from Crystal. Will our coordinator be able to arrange transportation for our group?
      A: We cannot arrange transportation for your group, but your group coordinator can provide you with a list of referrals for charter bus companies.

      Q: What should we do with unused tickets?
      A: Please bring unused tickets back to guest services no later than 11:30 a.m. on the morning of your visit. You will not be charged for these tickets if they are returned on time.
    • Group Gondola Tickets
      Take the whole group for a scenic ride on the Mt. Rainier Gondola. Once at the top you can marvel at the view of Mt. Rainier and the Cascade Range, enjoy a picnic or go for a walk along the ridge. You’ll also have access to miles hiking trails for a more adventurous way to return to the base. Three or more days notice is required for discounts on gondola tickets and 7-10 days notice is required for lunch service, or private meeting/event space.
      Policies & Guidelines for Scenic Gondola Groups:
      Scenic gondola rates are available to groups with 20 or more participants, Mon-Fri only.
      One complimentary ticket is offered for every 20 tickets purchased (21st is free).
      Rates are only valid when organized a minimum of 3 days prior to your trip date.
      Tickets may be picked up in Guest Services on the day of your trip or sent in advance with 7 business days’ notice and a $7.50 UPS shipping and handling fee.
      Tickets must be purchased using a single form of payment.
      Tickets must be picked up from Guest services and distributed by the organizer.
      Three days’ notice is required for cancellation. No shows will be charged a $50 cancellation fee, which can be waived if trip is rescheduled.
      Gondola may not operate in certain weather conditions and without notice. Check the Mountain Report for the most up-to-date operations information.


      Helpful Tips:
      Please do not feed the wildlife, it is harmful to their health
      Bring a warm layer. It can get cold at night, even on the hot days
      Wear comfortable footwear with good traction
      We recommend that you use the restroom at the bottom of the gondola before you head up. Restrooms are available at the top however, outdoor stairs are required
      Wear sunscreen. Remember, you’re at a much higher elevation
      Bring your camera!
      Group Lunch at the Summit House
      We are happy to accommodate large groups with advance reservations Monday thru Friday. Groups of 20+ who wish to dine at the Summit House must contact a group coordinator for reservations at least 7 days prior to their visit. A credit card and 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. Summit House reservations do not include gondola transportation. All food and ticketing charges will be billed to one account. We cannot split checks. There is a 7-day cancellation policy for groups. No-shows and last-minute cancellations will not be refunded on the 50% deposit.

      POLICIES & GUIDELINES FOR GROUP RESERVATIONS:• Please provide menu selections 7-10 days before the reservation date.
      • One payment and one check per group.
      • We will seat your entire group at one table when possible, or in smaller groups of 6 to 12 people per table.
      • Please arrive at the base area 15-30 minutes before your reservation with a pre-paid gondola ticket in hand.
      • Groups 30 minutes late will be treated as a no-show and subject to walk-in availability.
      • A $30 per person fee will be charged in the event of no-shows, or cancellations not received within 48 hours of your reservation time.
      • We recommend that you use the restroom at the bottom of the gondola before you head up. Restrooms are available at the top however outdoor stairs are required.
      Private Group Dining at the Base Area
      Family reunions, meetings, conferences, and special events for 50 to 250 guests welcome from June through September in our base lodge. Multiple venues are available for different space requirements and functions.

      Private Summit House Rental
      We welcome the special opportunity to book a private event Sunday- Friday nights during the summer months. Wisk your guests via the Mt. Rainier Gondola to Washington’s highest elevation restaurant for a private dinner as the sun sets next to Mt. Rainier.
