Summer Kickoff 5K Fun Run 2019 @ Crystal Mountain

Welcome to the Summer Kickoff 5k Fun Run!

Dust off your running shoes and grab that sunscreen because it is almost time for the Annual 5k Fun Run! Help us Kick off the Summer and support our Crystal Mountain/Greenwater Firefighters!

Summer is right around the corner and so is our Annual 5k Fun Run! Join us in the Main Plaza at the Crystal Mountain Ski Resort on June 22nd to help us kick off the Summer season and support our local Firefighters Association!

Registration is free and any donations go to the Crystal Mountain/Green Water Firefighters!

Schedule:
9:00 a.m. – Registration Starts

10:00 a.m. – Race Starts 11:00 a.m. – Awards

Advance registration is available through eventbrite

Special Notes:

Please be aware that there will be portions of it that are on the road and portions that will have gravel.
* All participants must sign a release form before participating in the race!
* Event is open to all ages, dogs are allowed but they must be on leash
* Water will be available at our designated water station for participants.

Mountain Yoga @ Discovery Meadow

Yoga is offered every Saturday from July 6th through September 14th in the Discovery Meadow at the base of the Discovery chairlift. (Yoga is moved to the Chapel if weather prohibits class being outside) Classes are designed to stretch and strengthen all the muscles needed for a day of exploring the mountains. The fresh mountain air and beautiful surroundings make a perfect sanctuary for your body, mind and spirit.  Please bring a mat or towel, water and a smile!

Cost: Suggested $10 donation to yoga instructor

New to yoga?  No problem.  There’s no experience necessary to participate.  Each class includes a variety of options and variations for all levels of practitioners.  Males and females welcome.

10th Annual Mt. Rainier Wine Festival @ Alpine Inn Lawn
Jul 6 @ 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm

On Saturday July 6th from 2:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. the 10th Annual Mt. Rainier Wine Festival will be taking place on the Alpine Inn Lawn located across the walking bridge from A-Lot at Crystal Mountain Ski Resort! Join us for a variety of wines from local Washington based wineries, delicious tapas, and live music!

Entry fee: $45

Entry Fee Includes:

  • 8 tasting tickets (2oz pour)
  • raffle ticket
  • commemorative wine glass.

Join us this July for a weekend of relaxation, meditation, and connecting with nature in the beautiful alpine setting of Crystal Mountain. This two day yoga festival was developed from our previous yoga retreats to include more yoga sessions, breakout nutritional sessions, painting, hiking, delicious locally-sourced food and much more. Ali Mazzeo: Ali teaches grounding, musically-inspired yoga classes incorporating restorative yoga, myofascial release techniques and practices that incorporate strength building and stress-relief. She discovered yoga in college as a powerful tool for calming the mind and connecting to the inner self. An accountant by day and yoga instructor by night, she’s a huge advocate of creating a healthy work-life-balance and desires to bring mindfulness, body awareness and empowerment to her students.

Bailey: I began yoga in 2010 for mental clarity and then I realized it was a great workout too! Yoga helped with my flexibility and hip mobility, and I loved how it made me feel so I took the leap and completed my Yoga teacher training through CorePower yoga in 2014. I enjoy developing challenging, intelligent sequences that allow my students to feel confident in more ways than one. I love connecting with students and having fun in my classes!

FAQ’S

What type of classes are being offered?
We are offering sunrise/sunset yoga on The Summit Platform, Iyengar, Hatha Vinyasa, Yin yoga, yoga/nutrition workshops, guided hikes and sound bath meditations. 
 
Do I need to attend all breakout sessions?
Nope! These are limited capacity, so you can register for classes when you purchase your ticket online. 
 
Where can I get breakfast and dinner on Saturday?
Attendants will be on their own for breakfast Saturday morning. We recommend light foods, and smaller meals throughout the day so you can get the most out of your yoga classes!
Dinner will be available at the Fireside Café until 7pm, The Summit House Restaurant and Alpine Inn Restaurant will be open. 
 
Where can I stay overnight?
– RV/Camping: You are welcome to bring your RV, Van, Bus, or caravan up. Discover more information on Camping at Crystal Mountain here.
– Hotels: While Crystal Mountain does not own any lodging, we have a variety of options nearby and onsite.
