Recharge on the Mountain

Electric vehicle drivers, you can now charge your car on the mountain! We encourage electric vehicles and other environmental methods of transportation as we continue our efforts to lower our carbon footprint.

As you drive up the Crystal Mountain Boulevard, you will find universal EV charging stations located on the left-hand side just past upper C lot. Each charging station is a level 2 Flo CoRe+ and has the capacity for two vehicles to be plugged in at one time, with a charging range of 1.2kW to 7.2kW. Whether you need a quick recharge on your way home from Mount Rainier National Park or are coming to shred the slopes for the day, Crystal’s EV charging stations are here for your convenience.

• The first 4 hours of use are $6 per hour; then there will be a $15/hr charge for each hour following.

Q. How much does it cost to use the EV chargers?
A. The EV chargers are $6 per hour for the first 4 hours, then will be $15/hr after 4 hours of use.

Q. How long does it take to charge a vehicle?
A. The average time for a Tesla to charge with the 7.2kW charger is up to 8 hours.

Q. Will the EV chargers work with any vehicle?
A. Yes! The Flo EV chargers are universal, so any electric vehicle should be able to plug in. Tesla’s come with an adapter to make them compatible.

Q. Do you have to make a reservation to use the EV chargers?
A. No reservations are required. EV Chargers are first come first serve.

Q. How long are the cords that plug into the vehicle?
A. The plug-in cords are 21-feet long, with the option to extend to 25-feet.
