Enjoy a scenic ride on the 8-passenger Mt. Rainier Gondola! Watch from above as skiers and snowboarders fly down the mountain below you. Pass by tall Evergreen trees and get a birds-eye view of the surrounding mountain peaks covered in snow.
Foot-passengers (non-skiers) are welcome to ride the gondola anytime during the winter. Skiers and snowboarders are fascinating creatures and don’t be surprised if you get to sit next to one on the ride up!

Reservations are not needed to ride the gondola, come anytime but check the weather & webcams page to confirm operations before coming. The gondola may close unexpectedly due to severe weather.
Planning on hiking to the top and riding the gondola down? Download tickets are available at the ticket window or in Guest Services in the base area or at the Summit Gift Shop below the gondola starting July 6th. Everyone riding the gondola must be ticketed. Download tickets are $12.
