Event registration is limited to 100 participants in total, and participation is by pre-registration only. To show our appreciation, we are offering trash collectors trail snacks, a free ride up the Mt. Rainier Gondola, lunch, and a chance to win Crystal Mountain merch or gift cards.
Join us on Saturday, June 20th from 10 am to 3 pm to seek out those tiny pieces of trash and recyclables we haven't yet discovered. Prizes will be awarded in various categories for the most interesting finds.
Participants will receive a trash bag and trail snacks, and be assigned a clean up zone upon check in at the base area. From there, you’ll proceed to your assigned area to collect litter while hiking and soaking up the beauty of the Cascade range. After turning your trash in back at the base area, we invite you to hang out on the sun deck, eat some food, and soak up the sun. At 2:30 p.m. we’ll announce the winners of the treasure hunt.

- Please be aware that this site has uneven terrain and some steep slopes. Safety info will be provided.
- Please observe and obey all area closures.
- Age Requirements: age minimum 6+ (with adult), minimum age without adult 16.
- Participants must sign up in advance of the event through Eventbrite.
- All participants must check in by 10:00 a.m. in order to participate. No late arrivals.
