RACE RULES & GUIDELINES
- Each athlete will get two runs. One on day 1 and one on day 2. The Winner will be based on the overall highest score, not combine scores.
- The race will be conducted by the race officials, whose decisions are final.
- Each rider gets to inspect the course at the designated time 1- course slip will be allowed. Each athlete will receive two (2) timed runs. Day 1 will be one run, and Day 2 will be run two.
- The rider should be in the “start area” five minutes before their run.
- The start procedure consists of all racers beginning from a “Start Line,” which will be indicated as such. The rider must be inside the perimeter of the “Start Line” prior to the beginning of the run. Violation of this rule will result in immediate disqualification.
- The rider must be on their board or snow skate when crossing the finish line. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
- The rider must pass through the timing eye at the finish line. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. The timing eye is located 6 to 20 inches off the ground, depending on terrain. In other words, don’t ollie over the finish!
All times will be posted after the awards.
Disqualification will also result if:
- Improper start: Leaving the start line before signaled. Not being inside the start line at the time of the start signal.
- Missing any gate. You must go through the innermost bamboo gates in the race order. Any questions, just ask.
- Unsporting conduct (You know what that means…)
- By obstructing other racers during the contest or tripping the finish line at any time other than your run.
- Any violation of any of our Mountain Policies, Rules, & Laws.
- Attempting to race while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Reckless behavior or disregard for the safety of others while at the ski area.
