Schedule

  • 9:00–10:30 a.m.: Registration opens — Location: Gondola Plaza
  • 12:00 p.m.: DJ kicks off the tunes
  • 12:30 p.m.: Participants meet up — Location: Base of Quicksilver
  • 1:00 p.m.: Pond Skim starts — Location: Quicksilver
  • 3:00 p.m.: End of Pond Skim followed by Awards — Location: Mountain Commons Lodge

Registration:
$59 in advance, $69 day of. Advance ticket sales end Friday, April 17, 2026, at 12 p.m. Tickets will be available day-of at the Registration tent. Proceeds benefit the Crystal Mountain Volunteer Ski Patrol.

The capacity is 100 participants. Register in advance to secure your spot.

Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:

  • Best Skim
  • Best Costume
  • Best Splash

Prizing:
Top winners in Best Skim, Best Costume, and Best Splash receive a 26/27 Ikon Pass.


Skim Attire:

Over-the-top but tastefully designed costumes are highly encouraged. Costumes may not be violent, suggestive or include accessories that resemble weapons.


Check-In:

All competitors must check in at Registration on the Gondola Plaza between 9:00–10:30 a.m. Competitors who do not check in by 10:30 a.m. will forfeit their spot to the next person on the waitlist.


Rules

  • Participants must be age 21 or older and present a valid ID at registration and check-in.
  • All contestants must pay the entry fee and complete an event waiver.
  • Proceeds benefit the Crystal Mountain Volunteer Ski Patrol.
  • There are 100 participant spots.
  • Over-the-top yet tastefully designed costumes are encouraged.
  • No group efforts; singles only.
  • Participants must remain in control at all times.
  • Only one run per participant.
  • All participants must have a valid pass or day ticket, complete the Crystal Mountain Events Waiver, and check in with event hosts on event day to compete.
