Join us for SheJumps: Calling Women In Ski Patrol, at Crystal Mountain!
Women will experience the “highlight reel” of patrolling from the perspective of female patrollers. From the first run of the day to the last run on the sweep, women will learn mountain safety and participate in a mini toboggan clinic while working with the strong women of the ski patrol community. This event is intended for intermediate/advanced to expert skiers/snowboarders ages 21+ who identify as female. Participants must be able to ski any un-groomed black diamond run at Crystal Mountain comfortably.
This event is structured as a full-day experience. Throughout the day, women are taught a range of outdoor skills used by ski patrollers to keep the mountain safe, while also learning mountain orientation, patrol landmarks, and local patrollers’ favorite runs. You will work alongside female patrollers* to learn more about the many facets of mountain safety and first aid. *You will not participate in actual calls on the mountain or render any aid of any sort while participating in this event.*
We will provide personalized female mentorship, sharing knowledge and understanding while connecting experience, energy, and love for our natural places, and fostering women’s inclusion and our vital roles in ski patrolling.
